Podiatry is a field of healthcare devoted to the study and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and sometimes knee, leg and hip (collectively known as the lower extremity). The terms podiatry and chiropody are effectively interchangeable.
Within Feetareforlife we offer the following treatments:
Lower Limb Assessment
Before prescribing Foot orthotics it is imperative to have this assessment. More information can be found on our services offered page.
Bespoke Functional Foot Orthoses
These are prescribed if required after a Lower Limb Assessment. A digital cast is taken and a full prescription written which along with the cast is sent to our Laboratory. Bespoke Functional Foot Orthoses address each patients specific problems. For more information see our services offered page.
Toe Nail Surgery
Toe nail surgery is undertaken using local anaesthesia to block the nerves. A follow up treatment plan using the best possible medicaments ensures that the healing process is accelerated.
Where only a part of the nail requires removing, special instruments are used to ensure that the smallest amount of nail is removed to give the result required, but keeping the remaining nail as aesthetically good as possible.
